Ahar-Banas Culture

Regional Chalcolithic culture of southeastern Rajasthan, centered in the Banas River valley east of the Aravallis. Known for black-and-red ware pottery, early copper metallurgy, and agropastoral economy. Contemporary with but culturally distinct from the Indus Valley Civilization.
